National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Today, a special day has been set aside nationally to recognize the families and children who were lost, and also those who survived our residential schooling system. Our very own Daisy Smallboy-Lagrelle arranged for us to take part in a round dance led by some family members, which is an example of the foundational knowledge and culture that so many young children missed when they were taken from their families. We are thankful for our community and students who are working hard to learn, understand and grow together. Many thanks also to our student council members who made and distributed over 200 orange bracelets to our students as a sign of community.
